Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking

A must-do adventure in Bali. This tour takes you on an early morning hike to the summit of Mount Batur, where you’ll watch a breathtaking sunrise above the clouds. The trek usually starts around 2:00–3:00 AM and offers stunning views of the lake, volcano crater, and surrounding mountains. Suitable for beginners with moderate fitness.

🌋 Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking – Full Itinerary 

⏰ 01:30 – 02:30 AM – Hotel Pick Up

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel depending on your location. Transfer directly to the Mount Batur trekking starting point in Kintamani.

📝 03:00 AM – Arrival at Base Camp & Briefing

Arrive at the starting point.
Meet your local trekking guide, get a short introduction, safety briefing, and prepare your equipment (flashlight, sticks, water).

🥾 03:30 AM – Start the Trek

Begin your ascent under the stars.
The trail is a combination of dirt, rocks, and moderate slopes.
Your guide will adjust the pace to your comfort level.

🌅 05:00 – 05:30 AM – Reach the Summit

Arrive at the top of Mount Batur (1,717m above sea level).
Choose a comfortable spot to sit and relax while waiting for sunrise.

🌄 06:00 AM – Sunrise View

Enjoy the stunning sunrise overlooking:

• Mount Rinjani (Lombok)

• Lake Batur

• Golden light and cloud formations

Your guide will prepare a simple volcanic-steamed breakfast (bananas, eggs, bread, tea/coffee).

Walk around the main crater, see volcanic steam vents, warm rocks, and enjoy panoramic photo spots.

⬇️ 07:15 AM – Begin the Descent

Start walking down through a different trail or the same one depending on conditions.

🏞️ 08:30 – 09:00 AM – Finish Trek & Return to Starting Point

Arrive back at base camp.
Refresh, rest, and meet your driver.
